Hey girl, I’m Jo! I designed my growwithjo fitness and nutrition app to make it easy and fun for ladies all around the world to achieve their health and fitness goals. My app has workouts that can be done at home with minimal or no equipment, so you can get a sweat on any time, anywhere! I have 3 amazing trainers on the app who helped me create a huge variety of workouts for you - there are 30+ unique training programs for you to choose from. You can choose the length of time you work out for, so if you’re pushed for time you can select a short workout and get it done in as little as 12 minutes! There are workouts for weight-loss, strength building, toning and improving your fitness level. Whatever your goal may be, there’s something for you :) Not only is my app jam-packed with challenging workouts, it also has an awesome meal plan feature. This provides you with 3 meals a day plus a snack. You can swap out ingredients you don’t like, and create a super-easy grocery list to take to the store. These plans were designed to ensure you cook for 25 minutes or less each day to help you slot these meals into your everyday routine. All the macronutrients are broken down to help you understand what you are nourishing your body with. The meal plans and recipes include my go-to banana pancakes, quesadillas with a protein of your choice, my cherry-chocolate milkshake and so much more!     How am I supposed to enjoy a new app that everyone talks about but when I do the initial questionnaire it immediately wants a payment plan thing and won’t let me go to another screen beside going back to my initial questionnaire you have to pay to get any further

  • Weight check in’s feedback

    While I appreciate the sentiment of asking for weighing yourself on the scale, I feel that it shouldn’t be asked too frequently. What instead I would wish it would do, is ask how is your mobility doing? Can you reach your toes? Etc. more realistic goals rather than agonizing over if you’ve lost weight in past month. I think asking those questions would make me feel less bad about myself and I’m sure others would probably feel the same. Not only is it beneficial for the user, it’ll be beneficial to the team because it will encourage users to keep using the app. I, myself, got discouraged because of the question to weigh myself. Even though I’m doing the workouts. Now yes, there is an option to ignore it. But the question still remains in your head. 
    Just a suggestion to add in the future.

    I wasn’t prepared to be  proselytized to while using a fitness app. Surprisingly there is a section under meditation called scriptures that include bible quotes. If that’s your thing, great. If it’s not, don’t waste your money on a subscription with ulterior motives. Two stars for the prompt refund response.

    this app is awesome but I wish the calendar were more customizable because it is cool that is possible to save the current program but if we will do single routines as well we can’t see it at the calendar.

  • Change of ingredients

    Wish the app allowed me to change an ingredient in the recipe and recalculate it. For example if I used cheddar cheese and spinach in a dish instead of feta cheese and salad mix, the app would allow me to swap out the ingredients and automatically recalculate the calories, protein etc. Other than that I am enjoying the app so far.

    I wish you could save workouts you liked or wanted to come back to later ?
    I wish it didn’t push the programs so much but I guess that’s what the apps main focus is about.
    But since she started the lives and stuff I wish we could save workouts and make our own plans or have set plans for beginners etc.. that you can edit yourself ?
