Nice and easy moves with little breaks and made it seem to go very quickly
Yes, they have a free 3-day trial, but there is nothing else that you can access unless you subscribe. 3 days is not enough to be able to really get a feel for a workout routine to see if it’ll work for you. And there is nothing more that I hate than downloading an app FOR FREE only to find out that I cannot do anything with it unless I pay money. That seriously needs to be a part of the description at the very least because you are actively deceiving your clientele. Not to mention, from the responses I’ve seen to other reviews on this subject, that 3-day free trial is actually only 2 days because you have to cancel it a bare minimum of 24 hours before the renewal kicks in and you are charged $8 for one week. Which is a lot for something you haven’t even had for enough time to be able to figure out if it’ll even work for you.
First day of Dancebit and the dance/workout was perfect for easing this (almost) 67 year old body into more exercise, and had fun at the same time!
They offer a free trial, but then charge you immediately. Luckily my banks fraud detection kicked in, because they tried to charge me 3 times, for 3 different amounts, all on the same day I downloaded the app. Only one went through, and they will not refund, their reps reply said that the “type of subscription I selected doesn’t have a free trial.” This must have been in really fine print somewhere I guess. Buyer beware.
The actual workouts are very simple and slow and not really effective. I get more off YouTube, including longer videos to workout. The first time signing in, the app tried to get me to double pay, which was then neglected by the customer support as something I did and I had to redownload. After 1 week, I lost a ton of the workouts that were there and it completely changed format and reduced the number of videos for the challenge I was in, in which I was told that it was always like that and the tech team didn't update anything. It basically became worthless at that point and I'm considering the app a waste of money.
My motto as a 72-yr old!
I thought this would be something fun to do for a low bar re-entry to exercising. I love to dance but the sessions while very time effective (no more than 10 min usually) are ridiculous. The instructor isn’t on beat half the time and there’s no preparation for a transition and sometimes you do the move for 3-5 reps so by the time you know what’s going on you’re onto the next making the workout useless. Would not recommend paying for this at all.
The initial exercises are done to horrible music. The optional workouts are better. Some of the workouts are high intensity which is difficult for those with bad knees!
I’m just getting started back into exercising. Im 71 and this is a very good way for me to start.
