  • Nothing but problems since the change !

    User friendliness down 100%… keeps crashing during ads, then if I leave app and come back in it will restart the whole movie! Then if I try to fast forward it to where I left off it will either crash or just keep restarting from the beginning. The picture quality on the app looks weird.. everything about this app is terrible. I’m actually upset about all the good reviews this is receiving because I know they are not real .. fix this app so I can actually watch a full movie peacefully or I’m canceling my subscription.

  • Unwatchable on iPhone to Chromecast

    HBO Max worked fine except the captions would often be out of sync. Haven’t been able to watch anything on Max stops to load about every ten seconds. Meanwhile, I can stream Netflix on the same device with no issues, so it’s not an internet problem. 

I’m sure they’ll fix it, but until then it’s unusable for me.

    I've seen all the reviews on this and I have to say I've had the same issue. As soon as I downloaded MAX, all of the shows I had been watching on HBO Max disappeared. I love to binge, for example, The Middle and Young Sheldon. Every single time I want to watch these shows, I have to search it up again. It never appears in my continue watching section. This is horrendously annoying. Though I will still continue to watch the shows on this platform, it is something I think should be fixed.

    The reverse and fast forward options don’t really work well, it doesn’t skip or rewind and it takes almost a minute for the show to play on after you use it. Also, when I pause my show and close the app, it doesn’t start off from where I paused it when I return to the app. It always starts off 5 minutes from where I left off, I’m constantly having to fast forward to where I was. Max is cool but if they were gonna make us switch from HBO Max to this, it should’ve been on par if not better !!

    Hoping for a clean transition from HBO Max. HM had a little cleaning up to do and I hope this version is clean and polished. Looking forward to it. There have always been a good selection of movies. Ready to give this five stars soon.

  • Serious Downgrade

    Won’t save my episode progress no matter how far into a season I get. They don’t have studio Ghibli films available on the kids profile anymore. The only way to control profile ratings is by making a kids profiles. Kids profiles don’t have old movies that still have G ratings. Massive downgrade from HBO Max.

    But it won’t allow me to cast anything to my TV. When it “casts” it gives us a black box that takes up the whole screen saying there’s an error with the selection. Giving it a few weeks in case there’s an update, but this is trash. Seems the catalogue is smaller than when it was HBOMax…
