Care.com: Hire Caregivers

I can’t add a profile photo as this app is not allowing me to do this on my iPhone 12 Max Pro. I’m happy to change my rating once I am able to edit properly. The notification I receive requires me to give access to my photos & camera on my phone, but the option is not there. Also, I contacted Apple and they tried to assist during our screen sharing session, but there’s no way to complete the task because the “access photo” option is non existent. Apple recommended that I contact your company to address the issue. All other in-app seems to be working fine. So I need help or just fix the issue. Thank you.

One day my app stopped loading soo I turned my phone off & on and still didn’t work!! So I deleted the app and redownloaded it and it still doesn’t work!

Truly terrible app. Price is laughable for the upgrade to actually get notifications and even look for care givers. Notifications sent hours after messages and jobs are sent; the desktop/browser version is faster.

I enrolled in premium so I could post a job and actually message the applicants. I had a terrible experience and the people on the site were no better than someone you could find on Facebook BUT that’s not even the scam part!

There’s no way to cancel the membership unless you are on a desktop computer or use their app. I screenrecorded myself trying to cancel my account and after 2 HOURS of chat and emailing back and forth they said they had to further  investigate only to email me today and acknowledge that there’s an issue but WONT BE REFUNDING ME!!!! They make it hard to reach them and hard to cancel just to steal your money. They will regret it because I will dedicate all of my time to posting reviews and warning everyone about this complete scam of a company. You want to build loyalty this is not the way.

We have used care.com for many years.  This app is horrible.  It force quits often and I despise the booking feature they use now.  If you want to book a caregiver. You need to use that feature, but we have had 3 babysitters not show up when using it.  They also will not give you contact info for your caregiver and have to message through the app, which glitches frequently.  Terrible service.  Care.com has become an unreliable way of getting childcare.

No customer support unless you pay the stupid premium? It’s ridiculous and they make it impossible to close out your account. I don’t need this app anymore and don’t want the account online. Not worth the trouble.

Developers need to mix key issues ASAP

it’s super frustrating to be in the middle of posting a job, and not be able to customize the time settings (no- I don’t need someone to show up at 9 PM)

Oh- and I’ve already paid for premium. So I’m paying for a crappy tool.

This app and website the whole company now it’s crappy.  I been having problems with employers leaving reviews. After emailing care and following their instructions still no reviews. My address is visible to people which is extremely dangerous brought this up to a care representative and I was ‘ASSURED’ my address was NOT visible. LIES! I was charged for a “premium” I had cancelled. Emailed them about it they answered once and went MIA. Jobs are never updated. This app was much better 10 years ago.

My dog sitter accepted the job but then told me last minute that the schedule would change due to a family event but could still do it. I asked what the time changes would be so I could have someone else help with my dogs too. I never received a response. I went ahead and had someone else let my dogs out and feed them. By 8p, I went ahead and canceled the job because this person was not responding to me (almost 2 days). This was my first time using this platform. Hopefully they have some quality metrics out in place for these kinds of incidents. I have booked someone else for our summer trip and staying optimistic.

I just signed up for care.com to find a nanny for my son. Signed up for a subscriptions since you can’t even message applicants back until you pay. That should of been red flag #1. Now the app won’t load my account and asking me to upgrade to premium. I already did that. None of my messages are loading. What a complete waste. I need a refund ASAP.
