I have been using Ancestry on a laptop for years. I find the app to be faster and in some ways easier to use. I like the look as well.

The app is a good start for implementation of features not in the web version.
    Stories has potential!

The scan photo, import photo, and edit photo features are a good start. One thing that’s missing from Photomyne is the Sharpy feature.
Any plans to add this into the Ancestry app? Also same for effects?

I have used the Sharpy feature in Photomyne to enhance ancestry profile photos and the Sharpy feature does a great job in enhancing facial features!

Also any plans on integrating the tagging bubble up to the web version besides just setting up the links to people in the photo, (which is cool)? This would be very helpful in group photos to be able to select a person in the photo to identify them in the web version. The iOS app version should hide the tags until an individual is selected.
  • Amazing. But a small technical problem

I’ve been fascinated by my family heritage ever since my dad passed in September of 2020. And I’ve been happy and busy as a bee looking all over for family

But lately I’ve been having trouble. I’ve found family members coming from France. And I wanted to see the towns. But only 4 of them have shown up on the map while the rest aren’t showing up. And their birth and death places are in their bio. Yet not showing up.

On another note. The tree sometimes gets stuck. Whenever I wanna see children of my grandparents, I mainly use the tree icon but whenever I tap on a person, none of the icons appear. Just opens directly to the person.

I have immediate relatives on here, I have never been matched up to.
They’re suggested 3rd-4th cousins with a 2% match, that share nothing.
Not spending the money on bad referrals.
