This app is ULTIMATE. It captures the grandest of the element enveloping us…the sky…with amazing ease, detail, precision and beauty, along with plethora of features to cut it all in gzillion ways. Every feature gives mind blowing perspective. The awe is literally unending. What started as mere curiosity has ended up as one of my most valuable immersive pastimes. Don’t have words to express how impressed and grateful I am with this. Salute to all humans who worked to bring this endless ocean of knowledge to this point. I think the old timers will be given this app in heaven to appreciate the true grandeur of God’s creation…and they’ll not stop using this app.

But I’m confuseHow come you included Proxima Centauri b but not the star Proxima Centauri can you add the stars Trappist, Proxima Centauri, eblmj-0555-57Ab, Barnard’s Star, Vy Canis Majoris, & Uy scuti. I love 90% of this app. It’s very informative, with tons of articles about everything in space you can think of… HOWEVER, I mainly use this app for spotting satellites, and here are some of my complaints:

-First, it seems like I have to constantly recalibrate my compass. It will make dramatic shifts in my point of view, which makes it really confusing until I recognize the problem.

-Second, and what’s worse, is that the timing seems to be off by at least a couple minutes. The time displayed on the app will be accurate, but the timing of the satellite passes is definitely slow. I’ll select a passing satellite, point my phone in the direction that it brings me, only to realize that the object I’m looking for is actually almost below the horizon by then. This is super inconvenient for obvious reasons.

-Third, it doesn’t seem to register & identify passing satellites I spot in the sky. When I aim my phone at a satellite I can clearly see with my own eyes, none are showing on my screen. This is after I had already checked the time & calibration to make sure those are both accurate. However, it will register with point accuracy for certain ones. Tonight we spotted at least 10 passing objects, but the only ones the app would identify was the Chinese space station & two starlink satellites. Every other satellite we spotted wouldn’t show up. This may be due to the other issues I listed, or be it’s own issue entirely.

This app is paid for, and it’s a great app. But it’s very upsetting when it won’t accurately locate & identify the passing satellites when this is my primary use of the app. I hope to see these things resolved.
